The European Review of Books is a cultural and literary magazine that features a wide range of content, including essays, fiction, poetry, book reviews, travelogues, parodies, and experimental writing, often in multiple languages. It was founded in the Netherlands by a collective of journalists and researchers and launched its first issue in June 2022. The magazine aims to explore Europe beyond conventional boundaries, presenting a multifaceted view of the continent’s cultural, political, and intellectual 

This e-Resource is available on Catalyst and the next edition of the magazine will be available in the Reading Room once published.

We're excited to announce LL185, our summer season of events celebrating 185 years of The London Library as the home of inspiration. We'll be delving into our history, collection and community and looking to the future, with talks, workshops and a very special theatrical run of a new adaptation of Virginia Woolf's A Room of One's Own.

Thanks to the kind support of Library members, we have now reached our target for the Hidden Treasures Library Fund appeal, raising £112,989. 

Thank you to everyone who has contributed. We have already begun recruitment and expect to have our Special Collections Curator in place in the next few months. We will keep members up to date as the Curator starts to research and share the Special Collections. 

We are very excited to see what our new Special Collections Curator will discover amongst these rare and precious objects, which deserve to be seen and celebrated.

We are delighted to have once again partnered with The Sunday Times Charlotte Aitken Young Writer of the Year Award, which last week announced their 2025 winner as Harry Shukman for Year Of The Rat.
