LL185: ERDEM - Imaginary conversations and literary inspirations (In person)
Internationally celebrated fashion designer, Erdem Moralioglu has been described by Anna Wintour as ‘London’s pre-eminent storyteller and season after season it is fascinating to hear him speak chapter and verse with the characters that have fuelled his collections.’
For two decades, his independent fashion house, ERDEM, has produced collections of incredible beauty and vision, rooted in, layered and inspired by meticulous research, characters and narratives, imaginary conversations, historical references and cultural touchstones.
In conversation with writer Charlie Porter, he reveals his muses and inspirations, the artistic and literary underpinnings of his designs and how he has used The London Library for many years to research, create and tell new stories.
This is part of LL185, a series of events celebrating 185 years of The London Library as a home of inspiration, including talks, workshops and performances, delving into our history, collection and community and looking to the future. See our What’s On page for more information.
