LL185: Reimaginings - Adaptation workshop with Linda Marshall Griffiths (In person)
To tie in with our theatrical run of Virginia Woolf’s A Room of One’s Own, its playwright, Linda Marshall Griffiths, leads a workshop on the art of adaptation. How do you take a work of literature in one form and reimagine it into another? What do you keep and what do you leave out? And what are the challenges and dilemmas inherent in reworking someone else’s text? With a mix of discussion and practical exercises, Linda will take you through the processes involved in adaptation and untangle the knots you may encounter along the way.
The workshop will run from 10.30am to 1pm in the New Room at the Library. Tea and coffee will be provided throughout the workshop.
