The London Library Abroad: Paris

This year, for our fourth annual Patrons' trip abroad, The London Library will be embarking on a tailored three-day visit to Paris, offering the opportunity to re-encounter the city through its layered history and storied cultural institutions.

The trip will take Patrons on a journey from the Paris encountered by Dickens in the mid-nineteenth century, to the City of Light that drew the Lost Generation in the 1920s, through the early-mid twentieth century literary scene with Library Ambassador and rare book dealer Neil Pearson as our guide, and onwards to post-war Paris with an exclusive visit to the private library of former British Ambassador to France, Duff Cooper.

NB This year's trip is currently sold out, but if you would like to be added to the waiting list, please write to the team at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
