Behind the Curtain at the National Theatre Archive

Since its opening night in October 1963, the National Theatre has seen many a London Library member tread its boards, from its first Director Laurence Olivier, to actors Michael Redgrave and Peter O'Toole, to former Library President Sir Tom Stoppard.

Join us for an expert-led tour of the National Theatre's Archive and strong-room, a treasure trove of the NT's historic performance material. We are delighted to present this unparalleled opportunity to learn about the history of the National Theatre, the role of its Archive in managing its heritage collections and the long-standing links between the Library and the NT as homes of artistic and cultural inspiration.
