Join the Board of Trustees

Do you love The London Library? Do you want to ensure it continues to thrive?

As Daisy Goodwin is stepping down after eight years as a Trustee we are looking for someone to replace her on the Trustee Board. Members are invited to apply if they have a strong track record as a published author and working knowledge of the Library. Journalistic experience would be useful. We would also be interested in submissions from members who have experience in journalism and public relations for future vacancies.

Trusteeship involves helping with the Library’s overall governance, monitoring our strategic goals and supporting the Executive team. Our Trustees are volunteers but the role can be highly rewarding in terms of personal development and the enjoyment that comes with working collectively in the best interests of the Library, ensuring it fulfils its aim of being the home of literary inspiration.

For further information on London Library Trusteeship and how to apply please see below for our Trustee Guide and application form.

The closing date for applications is Sunday 31 May 2026.
